Energy Performance
Contract (EPC)
It carries out energy efficiency measures with a flexible, performance-based investment model.
With a Energy Performance Contract (EPC), the E.S.Co. (Energy Service Company) assumes responsibility for ensuring a certain level of energy savings, regardless of who bears the investment.
Depending on the agreement, the investment may be:
- Totally covered by E. S.Co.,
- Divided between E.S.Co. and the customer,
- Financed by a third party investor, who enters as a party in the EPC.
The customer pays back the costs of the intervention, in whole or in part, through the energy savings achieved, without exposing himself to performance risks, since the E.S.Co. is responsible for achieving the agreed results.
